●In January, global crude steel production fell by 6.1% year-on-year

Recently, the World Steel Association (WSA) released data on global crude steel production in January 2022. In January, the crude steel output of the 64 countries and regions included in the statistics of the World Steel Association was 155.0 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.1%.

Crude steel production in Africa was 1.2 million tons, up 3.3% year-on-year; crude steel production in Asia and Oceania was 111.7 million tons, down 8.2% year-on-year; EU (27) crude steel production was 11.5 million tons, down 6.8% year-on-year.
